At Tuesday’s OCA Zone 12 meeting held at the Westmount Golf and Country Club, Doug Bakes of the Ontario Curling Association distributed the schedule of 2012-2013 OCA coaching, officiating, and instructional courses. These courses are not currently on the OCA website, though they should be soon. Here’s a selected list of the OCA’s 2012-2013 instructor/coaching series:

At the Zone 12 meeting Doug Bakes presented a draft of the OCA Rules Supplement which indicates that the OCA intends to require bantam and junior coaches to have Competition Coach certification at the zone level in 2012-13, though this decision has not been finalized.

Level 3 Technical (fee $270)
The Level 3 Technical course will be held at the Russell Curling Club, south-east of Ottawa, from Friday evening October 26 through Sunday October 28.
