Golden Hawks clinics go on the road

Gary Crossley: LTAD

The Golden Hawks Curling High Performance Centre is going on the road! The HPC will be hosting its fourth public High Performance clinic for club curlers on Saturday, February 23 2013 at the Elmira and District Curling Club in Elmira, Ontario.

The camp will offer club curlers of all ages and skill levels the knowledge they need to perform better and have a strong foundation for the beginning of the year. Instructors at the camp are Laurier Golden Hawks High Performance Centre coaches and athletes. This is your chance to “improve your game” before the curling season is really underway.

Instruction will be provided by the High Performance Centre’s coaches and athletes on various topics, including sessions on setup/balance/line of delivery, split timing, grips and releases, sweeping, video analysis, and strategy.

Lunch will be provided.

Sessions will begin at 9:00am sharp (registration at 8:30) and run until 3:00pm that afternoon.

Registration will begin in the New Year. In the interim, contact Glenn Paulley at the Golden Hawks HPC for details.

The high performance curling clinic was extremely valuable and very well organized. Each session was just the right length to provide concrete advice and allow time for practicing technique. Every instructor was top notch! Well done!
